Nightlife in New York is simply awesome!  New York City has all the nightlife you can think of to fully enjoy your night out until the wee hours of early morning.  From theatres to live symphony orchestra, to opera houses and even to open air performances.  Live performances of world class artists and entertainers are a nightly fare in the many and varied venues all around New York City.

It has been said that New York is the city that never sleeps.  However, night life scenes are still largely in the downtown areas of New York.  The New York Times Square which is home to Broadway is now enjoying a rebirth of nightlife popularity.  This place has large compliments of fine dining restaurants, themed bars, clubs and cinemas that are mostly frequented by tourists all year round.  The most frequented bars and clubs where you can enjoy drinking with live music till early morning are those that are located in the east Village, starting from 14th Street to Houston east of Broadway.

Other parts of New York that are now fast changing to nightlife spots are in Midtown, especially those areas located near Hell’s Kitchen.  A number of classy night spots are now up and operational located on the Lower East Side near East Village at Houston and go all the way south to Chinatown.  Aside from night clubs and pubs, a number of fine dining restaurants can be found along these areas.  There are also several theaters and  parks to while away your time.

Nightlife in New York always buzzes with so many nocturnal activities.  From bars to cocktail lounges up to the most glitzy of nightclubs where celebrities abound in droves nightly to enjoy the night and to be written and photographed by expectant columnist and even broadcast journalist.  Night clubs in New York caters to all sectors of the society. Even if you are just a simple factory worker if you have the cash to pay for the clubs charges and the cost of your foods and drinks, you can just as easily hobnob with the glitzy rich.

However, most night club customers would choose the clubs frequented by their own kind which is why you can tell a night club by the kind of customers they have.  There are nightclubs and bars for the rich and famous and there are nightclubs and bars for the working masses and lately, nightclubs and pubs for the young at heart.  These night clubs, bars and pubs are what make nightlife in New York simply awesome.

Miami Beach is a city which was incorporated on March 26, 1915.  Miami Beach City is referred and recognized by many under the name Miami, even though it is a separate municipality, which would make Miami and Miami Beach as actually two cities separate and distinct from each other.  As a 2000 census revealed, Miami Beach City has a total population of 87, 933.  More than half of the City population was foreign born. Miami Beach has been considered by many Americans as one of America’s preeminent beach resort for nearly a century.

Miami Beach as a City has its own Mayor and 6 Commissioners who share equal votes in formulating laws and ordinances for the City.  The Mayor has a term of only two years while the Commissioners have terms of 4 years.  However, while the Commissioners can serve for only two consecutive terms, the Mayor has a term limit of three consecutive terms. In terms of function, the Mayor runs and heads Commission meetings and has veto power over legislation.

Miami Beach City is a world recognized Art Deco center because of its famed Art Deco Historic District which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places   The Art Deco District of Miami Beach has the largest existing structures in the world composed of Art Deco architecture of hotels, apartments and other structures constructed between 1923 and 1943.  This Art Deco District includes Mediterranean and Streamline Moderne in its designs that add color and grandeur to the art Deco Historic District of Miami Beach City.  This district is located and bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the East, Lenox Court on the West, 6th Street on the South and Dade Boulevard going along the Collins canal to its North.  Barbara Capitman, a former interior designer, was the moving person in the preservation of the Art Deco District’s architectural heritage. Her efforts were rewarded with a street named after her.

One of the more popular areas of Miami Beach is its South Beach or simply called the SoBe. This area is a stretch starting from the 1st Street to the 25th Street.  Formerly, this stretch of Miami Beach is a crime area with abandoned and dilapidated buildings.  However, with the coming of business investors into the area, it has now been converted into one of the richest commercial districts of the city.  Signs of poverty still linger in some areas.  Criminality has markedly reduced with the crime rate controlled to a minimum. The City of Miami Beach and Miami City are both on the right road to progress by all indications.

Madrid is the biggest city of Spain and also serves as its capital.  It is said to have the third largest municipal population in the European Union, after London and Berlin.  Madrid serves as the Financial and political center of Spain.

Madrid is the seat of government of Spain.  This is also where the residence of the Spanish Monarch is located.  Madrid is not only considered as the financial center of Spain but as well as the whole of the Iberian Peninsula which would include Portugal.  Madrid is where you can find nearly all the head offices of major Spanish companies including the three listed world’s largest companies which are Telefonica, Repsol YPF and Banco Santander.

One good thing about Madrid is that while it is the most progressive and advanced city of Spain, it has continuously asserted its efforts in the preservation of its historical environments. Tourist can still feel the history of Spain when they would visit the huge Royal Palace of Madrid.  The sights and feel of the old Spanish traditions can still be savored by visitors when they visit the Teatro Real or the Royal Theatre with its newly restored 1850 Opera House.

Other notable historical sights inside Madrid would include the Buen Retiro Park which was created way back in 1631.  If you delve in history and would like to see Spain’s historical archives, you will have to visit the imposing National Library that was founded and built in 1712 that houses most of Spain’s historical archives.  Madrid also boasts of three art museums where you can find splendid works of great masters. The Prado Museum, which is home to one of the best collections of art works, the Museo Nacional, a museum created for modern art and Thyssen Bornemisza Museum that is located in the Villahermosa Palace.

Seven decades ago, Madrid was the most heavily damaged city of Spain during the Spanish Civil War of 1936 to 1939.  The city was heavily bombed resulting to heavy loss of human lives and infrastructures. After the war, and during the dictatorship of Franco, Madrid became very industrialized that resulted to a heavy influx of rural immigrants from other parts of Spain. After the death of Franco, the different political parties of Spain decided to accept King Juan Carlos as successor in order to preserve continuing stability of the country towards progress.  This is the reason why to date, Spain is considered as a form of constitutional monarchy with the City of Madrid as its Capital.
